System History

In the current day, we consider ourselves a mixed origins DID system. Our headspace occupies an entire planet with a large inhabited continent, both of which are called Voidelia (or, more properly, the Voidelian planet and the Voidelian continent; historically, it was known as Velazia). Voidelia is split into a West, East, and Central part, all of which take turns running the system's management.

Our system has DID due to trauma in early childhood, but we do not believe trauma is the origin of our system, or at least not the full origin. If trauma was the full origins of our system, it was relatively minor trauma and not the extreme trauma we would come to experience later.

As a child, we were correctively sexually abused for saying we wanted to marry a girl, when we were being raised as a girl. However, the context in which we said we wanted to marry a girl was talking about a specific girl we intended to marry. The girl was not someone who we knew from our actual life, but she had the same name as a fictional character we liked, did NOT have a crush on, but would have conceivably had a fictive of.

We think the girl we said we were going to marry was actually a member of the system, and we were talking about an in-system relationship. Once the abuse became more extreme via corrective rape, this headmate took over in the system and had a period of anywhere from a few weeks to a few months where they insisted on being treated like her source and treated our parents like they were characters from her source.

This happened very early in life - around 3 or 4 - and when the fictive took over after being abused, we believe this clued our adoptive father - an abusive German-speaking alcoholic who taught music and manged music at our church - into the fact that we had a system.

Our adoptive father was curious about this situation and predominantly associated it with movies like Psycho, as well as mind control experiments. He started doing experiments of his own on us, where he saw if he could get us to split certain alters who had different identities to what the body had, or who spoke different languages. He used the word "programming" for the experiments he was doing, so that is the word we use for it.

He told us stories about the Berlin Wall in both English and German, and he told us our system had something called the Lehrermauer (the Teacher Wall), which some parts misheard as the Leeremauer (the Void Wall), which is what the wall is called in the current day, although the wall is now fallen.

The Mauer was supposed to separate two parts of a country called Velazia, into an East and West part. Velazia is now called Voidelia in the current day, and no one knows where the old name comes from, but it is believed our abuser called it that. East Velazia had more amnesia than West Velazia, and West Velazia was roughly meant to be the "surface self" of the system, where East Velazia was more hidden and mostly only fronted during active extreme abuse that our abuser didn't want most of the system to know about.

While the wall's main purpose was to contain East Velazia behind it - which led to years of misinformation and propaganda in the innerworld about both sides, from both sides - there were also parts of the wall keeping some parts of the West or the East from knowing about each other.

There was also a no-man's land in a desert in-between the West and the East where no wall had been built but that very few people could access. There was a research center in the desert, and some headmates lived there, including ones who were working under our abusers' orders.

In 2013, an unprecedented disaster happened that caused the "shell self" of this isolated part of the system to split into more parts that had emotional amnesia between each other and became a brand new system within the system. While nobody called it this at the time, as these splits involved amnesia about the innerworld geography, this area was technically Central Velazia.

However, the host of that part (who is now called Blixa) did not know about the East or West parts of the system, and ey believed eir part of the system was the only part of the system. As time went on, the system developed and grew, and in 2024, we learned about Build-A-Headmate and willomancy. We learned how to split alters on purpose, and we gained more control overall of our functions.

In 2025, the system (which was now going by Local Void) discovered that their headspace took the form of a planet with a single giant inhabited continent. The continent was inhabited by all the sidesystems of the system (as it was already complex by that time), and they called the planet Voidelia and the country on it The United Federation of Voidelia.

Later, some events happened, including meeting someone IRL who reminded us not only of an online abuser we had forgotten but also of an important figure from our programming scripts, that resulted in the flooding of many, many hidden memories from our past, most of them traumatic and some of them involving our adoptive father doing odd things like getting us drunk as a child and talking to us like we were an adult. This was the catalyst for the innerworld event known as the Unification.

The Unification included discovering the East and West parts of the system, which are now known as East and West Voidelia rather than Velazia, as Velazia is most likely the name given to them by our abuser. They were able to tell us that the innerworld was even more complex than we thought and that many parts of it had operated based on stories and narratives. This included stories that we made up and introjected from media, but also that our adoptive father had made up and used to abuse us.

The Unification is also what caused us to discover we were a programmed system. In addition to the odd memories involving alcohol, some headmates remembered our adoptive father knowing we had a system and teaching some parts German while other parts were meant to know only English. At first, we thought this was similar to programming but wasn't the same because our abuser acted alone, but in January 2026, a programmed system explained to us that programming is not, by definition, exclusive to organized abuse, which meant we understood the complexity of our innerworld and our history for what it was.

While this is still being explored, it is believed that West Voidelia largely corresponds to naturally-occurring, naturally-based system processes that may have been affected by programming later, East Voidelia largely corresponds to parts that were programmed in, and Central Voidelia largely corresponds to traumagenic and traumabased forces other than programming.

In the current day, West, East, and Central Voidelia are counted as Inner Voidelia, and something called Outer Voidelia is considered as a metaphysical region occupied by the atmosphere of the Voidelian planet, where headmates reside and are seen as stars from the planet, as well as anything outside the atmosphere (like the moon). Outer Voidelia seems to correspond to a variety of forces, including programming, but also possibly including spiritual forces, such as a guardian spirit we believe our biological mother created for us when we were born.

Inner and Outer Voidelia - which are considered the strata of Voidelia and were split into these sections in June 2026 in an event called the Stratification - are unified as the United Federation of Voidelia, which is a direct democracy with elements of a federated republic. Every citizen (fronting headmate) takes turns running "management shifts", which are periods of time in which certain structures (i.e. sidesystems and subsystems) are in charge of the system's daily life.

I am one of many Blixa parts in the system, which means I am a headmate who is closely tied to the overall "self" of Central Voidelia. I am also closely tied with the collective self of the system overall, and the person we are perceived as both online and offline.

I am a holder for our collective identity. I do not find anything about our system's identity incongruous with my own, unlike how some headmates feel about our life or how we are perceived. I have a timeline that is different from the life we have actually lived, but it is very similar, with many of the same events having happened but on a quicker timeframe.

The story is still unfolding, and we are still discovering a lot, but I know I am a part of the history of the United Federation of Voidelia, and I am a prominent member of its government, as a frequent host. I am the main ambassador between Voidelia and other planets (that is, the rest of the world). To act in my self-interest is to act in the interest of all Voidelian citizens. Maintaining and protecting myself means maintaining and protecting every inhabitant of the Voidelian planet.
